Madison River Oaks Names New Infection Control Manager

CANTON, MISSISSIPPI (by Renee Cotton, April 18, 2012) - Madison River Oaks Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Cindy Buck, BSN, CWCN, to the position of Infection Control Manager. In her new position, Buck will be responsible for overseeing the area of infection control and associate health operations to meet current standards.

A 24-year veteran of the nursing field, Buck earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Mississippi. She received certification in wound, ostomy and continence at Emory University. Prior to coming to Madison River Oaks, Buck worked as a nurse manager of a Wound Management Center and obtained experience in surgery and other key areas throughout the hospital. 

Buck’s healthcare experience, including her knowledge of infection control, will benefit all areas of the hospital’s operations, said Glen Silverman, CEO. 

“Cindy’s expertise in many areas of hospital operations, including infection control, will mean even greater safety measures will be in place, resulting in a more secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees,” Silverman said.”
