Jay A. Young, MD, Central MS ENT - Madison Location Opens

CANTON, MS (August 6, 2012 by Renee Cotton) - Jay A. Young, MD has joined the medical staff of Madison River Oaks Medical Center off Nissan Parkway in Canton. Dr. Young will be accepting clinic patients at the Madison location of Central MS ENT which has locations in both Jackson and Madison.

Dr. Young was born and raised in Jackson, MS and has returned home to help serve the community where he grew up. He comes from Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he completed both his residency in otolaryngology - head and neck surgery and his internship in general surgery.  Dr. Young received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and he also holds a degree in biomedical engineering from Tulane University.

Maintaining scholarly activity, Dr. Young has a multitude of basic science publications, clinical reviews and oral presentations at national meetings. Additionally, he currently has a patent in development for a Novel Device for Intraoperative Ultrasound and Surgical Drilling.

His professional society memberships include the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Mississippi Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Young specializes in ear disease, chronic ear disease and ear disorders, nasal airway obstruction, voice and swallowing disorders, minimally invasive sinus surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, head and neck surgery, sleep apnea surgery, balance disorders and more.
